We had a 2 wheel drive truck, big but vulnerable - even with chains.
You can see why... no stones to pack under the wheels or support the sand tracks.On the way back to Nairobi we found a truck, loaded with spuds, well and truly stuck in a rut. The spud bags took 3 people to lift, no wonder we had more success when they had off-loaded a dozen of them.
